Michele and Steven Scheck
Michele and Steven Scheck are honored to serve as Co-Chairs of the USCJ/RA Convention as it is an extension of their passion for Jewish community and Conservative Judaism. Michele Balizer Scheck, was born and raised in Long Island, New York. She first became a Floridian when she enrolled at the University of Florida. Upon graduation, Michele studied at Nova Southeastern University where she pursued her dream of becoming a doctor. As a traditionally trained Osteopathic Family Practitioner, Michele challenged her own training when she encountered Functional Medicine, which she believes is a better way to treat her patients. Michele is equally passionate about the Jewish Community in which she resides. She has recently served as Scheck Hillel Community School’s PTA President. Presently, Michele is the Chair for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s North Dade Women’s Philanthropy, is involved with Posnack Jewish Day School and the AIPAC-IAT Program. Steven Scheck was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He currently serves on the USCJ Board of Directors and is proud to be a Past President of Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus where he followed in his mother Raquel’s footsteps. His other involvements include The Greater Miami Jewish Federation, The Jewish Federations of North America, ADL, AIPAC and other organizations. On a national level, he was a member of the Jewish Federations of North America Board of Trustees and is a fellow of the Wexner Heritage Program. Professionally, he is the principal of Inspire WiFi, a nationwide provider of wireless networks for the apartment and healthcare industry and is a proud graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. Michele and Steven live in Miami, Florida with their four children, Jenna, Evan, Haley and Adam.
