Rabbi Dan Judson


Rabbi Dan Judson, Ph.D. is the Dean of the Hebrew College Rabbinical School in Newton Centre, Massachusetts. He received his doctorate in Jewish history from Brandeis Univeristy and his book Pennies for Heaven: The History of American Synagogues and Money [Brandeis University, 2018] was a finalist for the National Jewish Book Award.  His research on contemporary synagogue finances and the elimination of dues has been featured in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Haaretz, and the New York Jewish Week. He also served on the national faculty of the Union for Reform Judaism where he consulted to hundreds of synagogues on their finances.
