Rabbi Cara Weinstein Rosenthal 

 

Rabbi Cara Weinstein Rosenthal serves as USCJ’s Family Engagement Specialist, coaching synagogues to think critically and creatively about ways to engage young families in Jewish life and community.  Rabbi Rosenthal has served as an education and outreach consultant to USCJ’s METNY District, and has taught for a variety of adult-education programs, including Chai Mitzvah, J Learn, and the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School.  Before coming to United Synagogue, Rabbi Rosenthal served as the spiritual leader of Congregation B’nai Israel in Freeport, NY.  

Rabbi Rosenthal writes frequently about parenting, family engagement, and Jewish education; her work has been published on Kveller and on eJewish Philanthropy.  

Rabbi Rosenthal was ordained by the Rabbinical School of the Jewish Theological Seminary and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.  She resides in Roslyn Heights, NY with her husband, David, and their children, Sara and Eli.
